Review gaps, remediate, or request an exception
On the initiative overview, review the Potential Loss and Remediation Status, expand gaps by severity, and use the gap menu to start remediation or request an exception.

Step-by-step
- 1 Open a compliance initiative and go to the overview, where the gap dashboard is shown.
- 2 Review the 'Potential Loss' card with the total exposure and open gap count, and the 'Remediation Status' cards (Open, In Progress, Completed, Exception).
- 3 Use the filter dropdown (All, Open, In Progress, Completed, Exception) or the search to narrow the list.
- 4 Expand a gap group by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low) to see the affected controls.
- 5 On a gap row, read its ID, title, status, and the chips for category, cost, impacts, assets, and owners.
- 6 Open the gap menu and choose 'View Gap', 'Start Remediation', 'View Remediation', 'Request Exception', 'View Exception', or 'Renew Exception'.
- 7 To remediate, choose 'Start Remediation', enter the planned action, target closure date, and owner, then submit. Add closure details when the work is done.
- 8 To request an exception, choose 'Request Exception', enter the justification and duration, add approvers, and submit. The status becomes Pending until approved.
