Create a compliance initiative
Open the Start Initiative drawer, pick or build a framework, set the details, review control mapping, add owners and approvals, then submit. The stepper runs Initiative, Details, Mapping, Delegate, Roadmap.

Launch a compliance program against a framework, with dates, mapping, owners, and governance.
Step-by-step
- 1 In the left sidebar, open 'Posture Management' and click 'Compliance' (this opens /initiative?t=compliance).
- 2 Click 'New Initiative' to open the 'Start Initiative' drawer. The stepper shows Initiative, Details, Mapping, Delegate, Roadmap.
- 3 On the Initiative step, select a framework from the grouped options. If you need a new one, click 'Create custom framework'; to copy the selected one, click 'Clone this framework'. Click 'Next'.
- 4 On the Details step, enter the name in 'Name', set 'From' (start) and 'To' (end) dates, and pick a framework category if shown. Click 'Next'.
- 5 On the Mapping step, review the 'Mapped Controls' and 'Mapped Frameworks' cards. Click 'View Relationship Map' to see the control relationship graph. Click 'Next'.
- 6 On the Delegate step, open 'Collaborators' to add team members, set the initiative business unit, and add other owners. Use 'Approval Workflows' and 'Policy Management' to attach governance if needed. Click 'Next'.
- 7 On the Roadmap step, review the continuous posture timeline (Compliance Plan, Audit Readiness, Policy Violations, Risk Detection, Digests).
- 8 Click 'Submit'. You are taken to the new initiative page.
